I felt a presence behind me, but I was too afraid to look. The air was cool, and I was breathing heavily as I continued down the dark alley. On the other side, I could see the orphanage, dim lights coming from the windows. Just a couple of meters, and I'd be there.
I heard a noise behind me, of that I was sure, and I swiftly turned around to see nothing. A cat crossed the dark path, and I sighed in relief. Just a little too fast.
A strong arm came from behind me and around my neck, almost choking me. I knew instantly who it was.
"Where is Rosalie Hale?" the menacing voice said. I knew that voice. I'd heard it before.
"Never!… I won't… tell… you." I choked out. I thought of sending him in a wall, like I knew I could, but since he was holding me, I would be knocked out as well.
"As you wish…" He chuckled.
Click! A gun; He had just charged a gun. It's simple, I thought, all I needed to do was calm down, and ONE gun would be easy to destroy, even under these conditions.Click! Click! Click! Click!
