Kyouya stared at the ground, with Tamaki in front of him.
'Since I was a little boy, I knew what I wanted.' Kyouya thought. 'One day I would take world and make my mark on it. Put in time, sacrificed, never thought of thinking twice. Since I was a little boy I dreamed... Now I'm standing here you, in this terminal, with a ticket so far away from your love...'
"Kyouya...?" Tamaki tilted his head. "You know, where ever you go, I'll still love you, right?"
"How can you measure the promise of love when it's weighing against a chance that only comes once?" Kyoya whispered, his voice almost cracking. "I wish I could just take you with me. I wish live was just that simple..."
"Kyouya..." Tamaki frowned.
"And, how can I leave when I know you're the one?" Kyouya smiled sadly. "Because, when the dust settles, you may not be here..."
Tamaki opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out. He knew it was true. Kyouya would stay in England for many years, maybe for the rest of his life... Deep in his heart, he knew he couldn't wait.
"The planes waiting up for me right at gate 23, this is a doorway to my dreams..."
Pained, Tamaki watched as his best friend and lover walked away. There were tears in both Tamaki and Kyouya's as the distance between then grew.
'I could go or I could stay... Should I change my life...? Or miss my flight...?' Kyouya's head was a jumbled mess. 'Gotta fly away... I gotta fly away...' No, not without you.'
And with that he did fly... Right into Tamaki's arms.
