Olivia's POV

"Mommy! Momma said I was in trouble!" My five year old daughter's smoky voice sounds from downstairs and I sigh.

Not again.

I, of course, have to walk all the way downstairs holding my six month old Logan Matthew and my two year old Daria Lynn and attempt not to jostle them. Daria's big brown eyes blink a few times then droop shut again and Logan's dark blue ones droop half closed the whole way.

"Lainey, be quiet. Your brother and sister were almost asleep. Now, what's the matter?" Her big blue eyes fill with tears and I can't help but sigh. "Sweetie, calm down. C'mere." I lay Logan in the rocker and Daria on a blanket on the floor then sit Lainey on my lap.

"Momma grounded me because I hit Brady. But I only hit him 'cause he said his brown eyes were cooler than my blue eyes!" I bite back a laugh and give her a stern look.

"That's no reason to hit someone Lainey Alexandra. Go sit in time out for 10 minutes then go tell your brother sorry." Her mouth opens to protest but I hold up a hand to stop her. "I'll have a talk with him too."

She pouts, looking just like her mother, and stomps over to the wooden rocking chair in the corner and plops down in it.

I sigh and head to the kitchen where I hear Alex talking to our six year old, the oldest and cockiest, Braden Jackson. God knows the boy has her wrapped around his little finger.

"Brady, I believe I heard something about you tormenting your little sister." I cock one eyebrow up and he gives his sweetest, most innocent grin. That boy is way too much like me.

"Yes, I hear the same thing. Brady, go tell your sister sorry and sit in time out for 10 minutes." Alex nods and he jumps off the counter pouting and heads toward the living room.

"Well, for once we agree on punishment." I grin at my wife and receive an eye roll in return.

"Well, I couldn't very well ground him could I? He does have the gorgeous Benson eyes."

"And I couldn't ground her because she has the gorgeous Cabot eyes."

We grin at each other and tangle our hands together, walking to the living room. Our two oldest are all very engrossed in The Princess Bride and the youngest are engrossed in…well…sleeping.

"Wanna watch the movie with them Liv?"

"Sure. Sounds good to me." I make a pallet beside Daria's blanket on the floor in front of the TV and tell Lainey and Brady to lay down and watch the movie then cuddle to Alex on the couch.

So, life is a little hectic sometimes, but at the end of the day it all turns out wonderfully.
