This came to me one day when I was going over stuff for Light to the Darkness and I realised Ed doesn't actually know what csitri means.
This is set after chap 13, after the talk with the Carpathians when Ed is a little more comfortable around Hughes.
This story will have little bits of extra stuff from my other story. It might be what happened from Hughes' point of view when he saw Kimblee and Ed, or what Havoc thought of Ed when he pretty much attacked him.
I'm open to suggestion and anyone who has something they don't get in the story or a scene from another character's POV just let me know, and I'll see if I can make it into a little drabble explaining things.

"You know, it's funny," Hughes mused with a grin.
Ed turned to look at him, a scowl on his face.
"What is?"
"That you blow up if anyone calls you short-"
"NOT SHORT!" Ed interrupted angrily.
Hughes put his hands up in a placating gesture.
"Not short," he agreed wisely. "Yet you let Roy call you csitri."
Ed blushed lightly and glanced at Hughes suspiciously.
"What of it?" he muttered embarrassed.
"Well you do know what that term means, right?"
". . . "
Hughes crossed his arms and nodded to himself.
"I thought so."
Ed was curious now, feeling that there was something he wasn't getting.
"What does it mean?" he asked, staring at Hughes.
"Well-" Hughes started but was interrupted with a roar coming from upstairs.
"DO NOT TELL HIM!"
Hughes sighed, exasperated. Roy had taken to resting in Ed's room upstairs, relaxing in the king-sized bed there. He wasn't willing to leave Ed to heal fully in the ground and Ed was more than accommodating. But Ed having gotten bored very quickly from just sitting around, went downstairs to converse with the other Carpathians.
"Sorry kiddo, but the big bad wolf has spoken. You'll have to ask him to tell you."
"Don't listen to him! He won't tell me. You tell me," Ed whined, giving Hughes a pitiful look that always worked on wearing down Roy.
Hughes groaned dramatically at Ed, before glancing upstairs and then back to Ed.
"He'll kill me," he whined.
"No he won't!" Ed reassured him, ecstatic that they were getting somewhere. "I'll get you immunity. I have connections!"
Hughes looked at him for a moment, lips pursed, before reaching across the table with his hand out.
"Deal?"
Ed shook it immediately.
"Deal," he agreed.
Hughes looked over his shoulder before leaning in closer to Ed.
"It means li-" he got out before the book that Ed had been reading leaped up from the table and smacked him in the face.
"ROY!" Hughes yelled up the stairs, rubbing his face.
"YOU WILL NOT TELL HIM!"
"I WANT HIM TO TELL ME!" Ed put in.
"YOU DO NOT NEED TO KNOW, CSITRI!" Roy yelled, his nearly healed wounds pulling with the force of the yell..
"There he goes again with the csitri business," Hughes noted. He glanced slyly at Ed and raised an eyebrow. He waited until Ed stopped glaring at the stairs and looked at him, before blurting out "It means little one!"
Ed stiffened abruptly, his mouth setting in a snarl, before he snarled angrily.
"YOU BASTARD!" Ed roared up the stairs, his intensity rattling windows. He stood up swiftly, knocking his chair to the ground, before he stormed up the stairs.
Hughes chuckled to himself. Knowing he was surely dead when Roy got his strength back, he headed into his bedroom chamber to see how Gracia was going.
