Chapter 1: Like a Picture Book
Kurt and Blaine sat in their World Cultures class studying for the upcoming test with the time that had been granted by their whale of a teacher Ms. Zingermin. Well, they appeared to be studying, in reality Kurt was trying to study despite his internal battle of emotions as Blaine rattled on as usual about one of his crazy new ideas for a magical creature.
"...And there would be a cyclopse who winks at the people he likes and unicorns who carry me where ever I please!"
Kurt bit back a smile and attempted to look irritated at his boyfriend`s antics.
"Seriously, Blaine, I have to study for this Ancient Roman Culture test. I know you may just be able to slink by in this school with an 90% average, but not all of us are as fortunate! I actually have to work for my marks!"
Blaine gave Kurt a lopsided smile, knowing full well Kurt got marks easier than Blaine did and that something else was obviously troubling him.
"Awe, Kurty whats bugging you?"
"Nothing."
Blaine rolled his eyes and gave Kurt a pointed look. He could practically see the gears turning in Kurt's head. There was a major storm brewing up there and Blaine knew the sooner it was released, the weaker it would hit.
"Fine, it's just, well I have really been," Kurt began.
"Missing the New Directions." Blaine finished, much to the annoyance of Kurt.
"Well, yah, and I just can't decide,"
"Whether or not you want to stay at Dalton or go back to McKinnley."
Kurt sighed. "Am I really that easy to read?"
"As easy as a picture book," Blaine smirked, despite the sadness he was feeling at his boyfriend's inveitable departure. "Have you decided what you would like to do yet?"
"Well, no," Kurt frowned.
"You're going to go back. We all knew it was just a matter of time. And to be honest, I want you to go back. It wouldn't be fair if I tried to convince you to stay here with me for my own selfish reasons."
Kurt smiled at his boyfriend of a month. "Thank you," he whispered, his voice waivering slightly.
Blaine smiled back and hugged his boyfriend tightly before whispering into his ear. "You do know this was the easy part. You still have to tell the rest of the Warbler's about your decision."
Kurt groaned, burrying his forehead deep into the crook of Blaine's neck wishing to never leave.
