Austhors Note: This was a fic challenge to be based on a piece of music. I wrote it with Embry in mind to the music: Camping Next to Water- by Badly Drawn Boy. This is just a short piece... I see it more as a fanpoem of sorts. But I'm posting it, because I may continue with it later.
An Afternoon in Eden
Blind summer afternoons in the fields of wild daisies, running carelessly through the grass, laughing, giggling like children. You and me, lovers touch.
Our bed, a soft embrace of sunshine and blue skies, the smell of flower petals and the buzzing of honey bees.
We drink from waterfalls and eat the wild honey of Eden.
This is a paradise I never knew, until I met you.
I lean in and tickle your belly, and you laugh and reach for me.
But I am gone, running with the breeze.
Once more I'm spinning through the swishing grasses, without a care in the world, laughing like there is no tomorrow.
These photographic memories envelop me in sentimental dreams.
You catch my waist and I fall, landing with a slight thud onto the earth, crushed by your beautiful frame as you hold me down in glorious victory, the light surrounding you like the sun high in the noon sky.
You're long black hair shadows your russet cheekbones, and thick lashes frame beautiful emotion-filled brown eyes that are flecked with shades of gold.
Your weight feels good, as I struggle to catch my breath and I like the way you watch my bright smile with a hungry appetite for reconciliation.
My hair lays spread like a golden halo of curls through the lush grass and my blue eyes water at the sight of your beauty, tears slip from my soul and I am battered by a wave of emotion that spills from your lips as they search for mine.
Trail blazing, over my neck and collarbone, you softly touch my core, but leave a fire in your wake. You lips find my ear lobe and you rest them there, whispering words of love and Shakespeare to my parched love-wrecked and lonely heart.
As the fire smolders, never will I grow older, because you are here with me.
Friends to lovers; lovers to friends, it's all the same. We are both rolled into one, my best friend, my guardian, my moonlit night and my ethereal partner in memory making. Things will never be ordinary again, for together we dream extraordinary dreams and practice a passionate love of life and all earth's bosom holds.
