Author's Note: To my knowledge, the only rewriting of the "That's Love" song from *Carmen Jones* in the whole of Fanfiction.Net. This one, called (duh) "Not Love," is about Sephiroth's difficult childhood and the reasons why he is.

Just did what Jen'va wanted to
Seph's the One-Winged Angel child
But he won't have any love for you.
One man called him a little brat
Later Seph called him just 'fist-scrape'
One girl gave up her life to that
Demon-thing that Jen did make.

He'll strike at me, he'll strike at you
To him and his mom, nothing is taboo
And when they do, then you are through
Oh shit, you're stuck and that's the end of you!

Dat's the end of you.
Seph's mother had died at his birth
And followed soon after by Vincent
And the father was called a curse
Who used his son to experiment.
"Just you listen, you worthless rat

If you screw up, your head I'll crack
And don't even try to run away."
