"What am I going to do?" she whispered again over the coffin of her mother. The last person she had who had loved her. If only she had never taken her heart out in the first place. But it was too late now. Old regrets meant nothing in the present. She had no one who was there for her in the world and she was getting tired of the fighting.
She wanted to stay and fight Snow. She wanted to avenge her mother. But what would it do for her but make it concrete that she had no one? Who would be there for her when she needed to break down? There was no one and nothing was holding her down to this town and to these people.
She could leave and start over. Be somewhere where no one knew her past as the Evil Queen. Maybe she could really start over and build her own happiness. Her head bowed on her mother's coffin as tears streamed down her face. This would be her final goodbye. Once she left she would never be coming back again.
Wiping her tears with a finger and kissing them with her love she stroked her finger on the surface of her mother's coffin and said her final goodbye. As she walked away she passed the glass coffin of her former love Daniel. She also said her final goodbye to him. Nearing the stairs out of the sanctuary she passed her father's coffin as well. Once more she raised her fingers to her lips and whispered a final goodbye. Leaving everyone who ever loved her buried in the ground. She climbed the stairs and made her way out of the mausoleum.
When she reached her mansion she magically packed up her bags and transported them to her car. She turned on the ignition and drove her car along the town mainstreet. She saw Henry stepping off his school bus heading to the apartment of his grandmother. The woman who had destroyed her family. She sighed and looked away. He didn't love her anymore and she saw no point in fighting for him any longer.
She drove her way out of the town and to the town line. She wasn't sure if her memories would be erased but it would be nice if they they did. Then she wouldn't have to bear this torture. But she was sure that was an unlikely blessing she would not receive. Nothing good ever happened to her. Or at least nothing good ever happened to her for long.
As she passed over the town line the magic seemed to try and pull her back in. A little resistant in her escape. But she pushed through and broke over the town line. She continued forward with her tortured memories, unsure of where she should go, Only knowing she wanted to start over. And she drove she just went south hoping to find something new.
