Title: When It Rains
Disclaimer: I don't own Prince of Tennis

The thud of the rain on the ceiling was never ending. Tezuka lay down on his bed, tennis practice was cancelled, he'd finished his daily chores and his homework was completed. The books on his bookshelf had all been read many times, their spines cracked from wear. He had to admit, he was fairly bored. "Kunimitsu," his Mother called out.

Tezuka sat up, even if it was housework he was willing to do anything to break the monotony of this rainy day. He walked downstairs to find two mugs set out on the dining table. His Mother turned to him with a smile, "Would you like some marshmallows with your hot chocolate? Remember I'd always make some when it rains."

Tezuka almost smiled at memories of himself at 5, demanding more marshmallows, he had a pretty bad sweet tooth then.

'Maybe the rain isn't so bad,' he thought, taking a seat across from his Mother.

A/N: I know I should be working on my Avatar-fic, but my holidays are over, and I'm back at school and that's the higher priority. I'm only publishing this because it's a drabble that only took a few minutes, whereas each chapter of my Avatar-fic takes a lot longer to get done, especially with my limited free time now.
