"You came back," the creature said. "You came back to us. To me." Optimus lifted his head and frowned at the alien that was almost his size. He looked...familiar. He had seen this creature before, but where? It was a foggy memory that couldn't become clear. He knew that this creature, Alpha, was a stranger to him but those eyes... those silver eyes...they looked so familiar. They were so loving before. So kind...why was he thinking this? He had never seen Alpha, yet he felt like knew him for a long time. He felt like he was connected to this creature somehow. "I knew you would come back. I always hoped that you would," Alpha said. "You were my favorite subject. You were so loyal to me, but now you're...I don't know what you are now. Do you even remember me?"
Optimus was silent. He didn't want to reply. He had mixed emotions about Alpha and he didn't like it. He wanted to murder him yet at the same time, he wanted to curl up next to him and listen to his beating heart that lulled him to sleep every night. No, don't think that. He's an enemy, not an ally. He isn't family. Alpha seemed to be reading his thoughts because he lifted his clawed hand and caressed the knight while murmuring, "You can trust me you know. I won't hurt your family. I won't destroy Earth if it makes you happy. But, you have to stay with me. You are mine. I own you, and you can't escape. I waited for you because I knew that you'd come back. You always do." Those silver eyes were filled with kindness and Alpha's voice sounded so reassuring.
"No," Optimus said quietly. "No, you won't. You're lying to me."
"Have I ever lied to you my son? Have I ever deceived you?" Silence. Alpha rested his head on the Autobot's chest and sighed softly. "You're my son and I want the best for you." Optimus tensed. Those words were so warm. He couldn't resist the urge to hug Alpha, but he had to control himself. He had to resist the creature's seductive words. "Stay with me. I know that you aren't happy with your life, so if you'd just come with me, you'll finally get the peace that you wanted. We can end this war and return everything back to normal. Do you want that?" Once again, silence. Silver eyes met blue as Alpha twitched his tail. His long soft fur brushed against metal as he moved away from the knight. "Fine," he murmured. "Have it your way. But heed my warning Optimus, you will regret it."
