Another Jack and the Pack rewrite, this time it's "Jack Owns Up" Enjoy and comment.

One morning, Thomas was taking Jack and Alfie to the warehouse.

Jack was most excited to get to work.

"Hurry up Thomas!" he called.

"I'm going as fast as I can." puffed Thomas.

"Don't mind him at all!" called Alfie. "Thomas is always in a hurry!"

Soon, Thomas had delivered Jack and Alfie to the warehouse.

Miss Jenny warned them all.

"You must all be careful!" she said. "Anyone that causes an accident will be send back to the yard immediately."

Ned was worried. He sometimes caused accidents.

"Don't worry!" said his operator. "I'll make sure you don't bump into anything."

Everyone began to work very carefully.

Ned's operator worked hard to make sure he didn't bump into anything.

"Oh good!" said Ned. He was having lots of fun.

Jack was having lots of fun too, but he wasn't being careful.

He zoomed by Kelly at warp speed.

"Slow down!" boomed Kelly. "You're gonna have an accident!"

"Not at all!" shouted Jack cheerfully.

Thomas could see Jack was being careless.

He didn't want Jack to get into trouble.

Then, it happened. Jack wasn't being careful and crashed into some slate, causing it to smash to pieces!

Nobody had seen him break the slate, not even his operator.

Jack knew he had been naughty, but he didn't want to get sent back to the yard.

So he filled his bucket full of gravel, and drove away.

Ned didn't see the broken slate, and ran right over it!

"Ned!" shouted his operator. "You broke all the slate!"

"I didn't do it!" protested Ned. "It wasn't me!"

But by then, nothing else could be done.

"I will report this to Miss Jenny!" said his operator.

Ned felt bad for himself.

"It's not fair, it's not fair!" he moaned.

Alfie pulled up, just as Jack saw Ned driving sadly away.

"Where's Ned going?" asked Jack.

"He broke some slate." explained Alfie. "Thomas is taking him back to the yards."

Jack knew it was his fault for breaking the slate, not Ned's.

Alfie could see Jack was upset.

"What's wrong Jack?" he asked.

But Jack didn't answer, and raced off without a word.

"Miss Jenny!" exclaimed Jack. "Ned didn't break the slate, it was my fault!"

Jack told Miss Jenny what he had done.

Miss Jenny wasn't happy at all. Instead, she was very cross.

"It was brave of you to own up." she said sternly, "but I'm sending you back to the yards!"

Jack was sad.

After being loaded on Thomas's low-loader, Jack called to Ned.

"I'm sorry you got blamed for my accident." he said.

"That's alright." said Ned, but at least it's not me going back to the yards!"

Ned then went back to work.

"Good for you Jack!" called Thomas.

Jack felt better now. Deep down in his pistons, he knew he had done the right thing.
