Magnus walks around the corner from his room after hearing the door open and close, "So one night you lie in my bed, and the next you don't come home till six in the morning? I know you were with Maxwell, are you sleeping with him?"
Alexandria scowls as she brushes past him; it's none of your business. It's not like you really care anyway." She mumbles.
Magnus pulls her back by her shoulder, "You live in my house, you will answer me, now!" he glares boring into her eyes, yet she holds his eyes with hers.
"You never forced answers from my lips before. Are you jealous of the Shadowhunter, Magnus?"
Realizing his grip Magnus turns away, I am only worried for you. You haven't been acting like yourself as of late." Turning to see her again Magnus realizes he had been talking to no one. Alexandria had disappeared, a piano now playing ever so softly.
The next morning Magnus wakes at noon, Chairman Meow having jumped onto him face. On the way out Magnus passes the kitchen where a shiny blue stone catches his eye. He walks over to it; a note is under the stone with Alexandria's neat handwriting on it. With the stone in one hand, Magnus reads the note.
Dear Magnus,
Forgive me for this morning, you were right, I was with Max, but he is not why I stayed out so late. In fact I kept him out late, not the other way around. I had asked him to watch after me as I went to 'Glory Lane' to win the blue stone. You see, you told me once that birthdays don't mean matter to you, but I still asked yours. Which you graciously told me, and I remembered.
Then about two months ago I head the prize to a game of 'Life to Death' was a special stone. I went to see about it last month and decided it would be perfect for you. I couldn't ask you to watch after me, so I asked Max.
The game was held last night; I won three in a row easily, but the fourth was against a warlock who had summoned a greater demon to fight for him, I nearly died but I won nonetheless. On the final turn to win the game, I wasn't in the best shape, but I stood strong knowing you would want me to. The opponent was a Shadowhunter; I couldn't attack him I knew I would be killed if I did. About half past three I saw something shine around his neck. He was no Shadowhunter, but a farie with one heck of a glamour. After that I didn't hold back, but we still fought for over an hour.
Finally, I threw a fireball right at his chest sending him flying back against the stone wall, dead. I won the stone for you. Max spent some time patching me up well enough for me to get home.
Now it's your birthday, you're angry with me, and so I have given you two gifts; the first is this stone. Known as 'The Stone Of Shadows' it allows you to summon the power of a greater demon for a little over an hour. It's also shiny and beautiful, like you. I plan to have a necklace made for it to sit in for you to wear. The second is my absence, I am staying out of your hair for the day, I will return tomorrow at noon.
I Love You Magnus Bane,
Alexandria Dragon
