Jude simply did not know where he had went wrong. All he'd ever want for him and Callie to finally have their happy ever after, and just as he all his dreams were coming through, she'd kissed her about-to-be foster brother and run off without a care in the world. Even so, Jude, as young as he was, just wanted her sister to have a better life.
She had so much potential, and Jude believed Callie could do great things if she believed in herself. Stef and Lena supported and loved him so much, but he wanted Callie there to feel the same joys he was experiencing. He knew normal kids didn't have so much awful during their childhoods, and Callie had saved him so many times. It was his turn to save Callie, she more than deserved.
When he put on that suit to visit her at her girls' home, he could not have been more giddy. His dear, lovely sister had come back from her getaway, and that must of meant something, right? She had even invited Jude to see her! Maybe he could convince her to come back to the Fosters. He daydreamed of a hopefully near future when he and Callie slipped smoothly into the Fosters' routine, treating the twins like siblings and having friends over and breakfasts and family meetings and everything else he had every envisioned a family should have.
But then, there was Brandon. Brandon, the only real child and real problem to any of Jude's fantasies. It would be selfish to blame Brandon, but Jude really wished that boy did not love his sister. Callie deserved to heal on her own, without any distractions or issues involving around a major male figure in her life, whether he was Liam kind of guy or not. And, oh boy, the complications that would ensue with Brandon and Callie's little love fiasco.
Jude huffed aloud. He was usually a mild person, but something about the Brandon and Callie situation really ticked him off. As he waited to be whisked off the the girls' home by his new moms, he straightened his bed covers. He was nervous, and a nervous Jude cleaned. It was an age old habit of his, and he's never really outgrown it.
A bit later, there was knock at the door, and in came Stef and Lena. They complimented his clothing choices, and he smiled.
His smile faded quickly as they informed that Callie wouldn't be able to see him today. Apparently, she'd already crossed some sort of rule, causing visitors to be banned for her. Jude smiled politely, and turned down Stef and Lena's offers to make alternate plans.
How dare she? Here, Jude thought Callie might actually want to see him, but she couldn't even keep it together for a few days. She's run away, and now this?
She wasn't even trying to come back. She wasn't trying to see him. She just plain wasn't trying.
He just wanted to save Callie and she just wouldn't let him. Jude believed he knew best.
He just wanted to talk to her.
