Chapter One Alone And Forever

? POV

I walked down the sandy beach in the land of darkness. I was alone, but that's how it always was. I locked myself away because the world was cruel.

I couldn't bear to hurt those close to me so I shouldered the burdens of the world and walked silently. Never speaking, never asking for help, never complaining. I cried on the inside and I screamed where no one would ever hear.

As punishment for my sins and regrets regardless of what I did for the world I was judged. I was found guilty and here I will forever walk alone as punishment.

I continued walking until I saw a figure up ahead, sign of life, that's odd I should be the only one here. Before I could take a step a dark portal appeared before me and a hooded figure stepped out of the swirling darkness.

The figure said nothing, but simply removed the hood that covered his face and I saw who it was. Xemnes, the former leader of Organization XIII, he gave a nod and the two of us walked towards the other hooded figure.

She seemed familiar in a way, but I just couldn't quite figure out how or why. She glanced at me and turned her head back looking at the waves.

"Remember when I said you were never really alone, you don't have to shoulder the burden alone anymore. We can share the pain and we can heal those wounds. The past doesn't matter, what we've done and what we've regretted that's all behind us now." Her words cut deep into my soul and the walls that I built and the emotions I kept locked away. She broke through them and all I could do was cry and Xemnes just stared out at the sea.

I've never felt like this before, what's wrong with me, I was meant to walk alone and now all I can do is cry. Now I won't ever have to walk alone again, never again, never again.

"It's good to know that someone cares."
