My Name Is Renee Jones. I am 18 years old and I live with my Father, Stepmother and Half sister, Madison. Well, I used to anyways. I'm currently living with a friend of mine. Her name is Twilight Sparkle. Yeah, You read that right. I'm living with the Twilight Sparkle. It's complicated. But that's why I'm writing this journal. You see, I'm not a pony. I'm human. Humans, for anypony who doesn't know, are the dominant race of a planet called Earth. If you have any questions, just ask Lyra. She's practically an expert on us. You may be asking yourselves, What would a human be doing in Equestria? Well, It all happened about a year ago.
One Year Ago
I sat excitedly at my door, peeking out the window in search of the mailman. Today I'd be receiving a important package. Ten minutes passed when I saw the postal service truck and the mailman approaching my house, a package in hand. I bolted down the stairs, pushing my ten year old sister to the side so I could answer the door. I opened the door, surprising the man. "Hi!" I greeted. The man gave a hesitant smile, before looking down at the package. "Are you Renee Jones?" he asked, reading the recipient address. "Yes." I said, trying to be cool. "This belongs to you." He said handing me the package. "Thanks!" I said, signing a clipboard he presented me with and closing the door. Maddie walked over, looking at the package." What's that?" she asked. "My Mail." I replied, walking upstairs. "But what is it?" she asked. "None of your business, Brat." I snapped. She glared. "Bum!" Maddie said, going to her room. I rolled my eyes and shut and locked my door. I didn't want anyone to interrupt this moment. I laid the box on my bed and searched for a small knife I kept in my jewelry box. I was so excited because this package contained my first ever merchandise of My Little Pony, and not just that, it was autographed by Lauren Faust herself. I'd won it in an online contest. I finally found the knife and carefully I sliced at the tape that sealed the box. I had tears in my eyes, I was so happy. Inside were several MLP Products, A Fluttershy plushie, A Derpy Hooves Lunch Box, A poster of The mane six and DvD Boxsets of MLP:FiM Seasons one through three. I was so excited that I almost missed a letter slip out of the box. I picked it up and read it." Dear Renee, Congratulations. You have completed the first step of your new life-" I stopped. 'New life? what's that supposed to mean.' I wondered as I continued the letter. "Everything will make sense when you wake up tomorrow. Good luck and Remember, Friendship Is Magic. Sincerely Lauren Faust." I stared at the letter in confusion. "what. the. fuck?" It was really strange. "its probably just a joke letter." I told myself, putting the letter down, and grabbed my laptop. 'MLP Marathon for the win!' I thought, putting the first season disc in. Somewhere between The Pinkie Keen and Sonic Rainboom, I'd fallen asleep. It was the last thing I did on earth.
