Author's Note:
Hello! This is my first fan fiction thingy on the site, and I'd just like to mention a few things. One, I don't own Harry Potter. Two, this poem is based very, very loosely on To Hook a Slytherin by SilverSinfonia. It's brilliant, and I highly recommend it. Three, this poem is also on my Wattpad account. (I'm eekgirl there, too.) Other than that, enjoy!

Of Snakes and Griffins, and How They Fit
Still waters run deep, or so they say,
But even still waters were moved on that day.
Their backgrounds were different, and where they reside;
Pureblood and Halfblood, and Mudblood besides.
Romeo's Angel, the Spinning War,
Two Seekers, Bell's Keeper, and Elle's Stone Door.
With the ties that bind corroded by lies,
The truth; difficult to protect and disguise.
Where secrets were buried, people now lie,
Families feuding, a sad way to die.
She was his red, he was her green,
To them it made sense, to all others, obscene.
They weren't the first, they won't be the last;
History repeats if you don't know your past.
