Me and Leon had been dating for about a month and I had been enjoying every moment we were together. One day I had the afternoon off, so I walked around town. Then all of the sudden I ran into someone, I was so lost in thought I wasn't paying any attention to where I was going. "Be careful! Here.", the person said. I instantly recognized the voice. It was Leon. "Sorry I was thinking.", I apoligized sheepishly. He held out his hand and I grabbed it. When he pulled me up he smirked, I knew something embarrassing was about to happen. I wasn't close enough for him to embarass me was I? That's when he gently held my hands and kissed me. It was very short, but long enough for me to go bright red. What was even worse was that Blossom, Lin Fa, and Xiao Pai were outside. Lin Fa laughed lightly along with Blossom, but Xiao Pai giggled and pulled her mom off somewhere probably to "leave us privacy". I took a step back and puffed out my cheeks, I loved Leon but he could be very annoying. "Hmm….I think I like that face it suits you.", He commented still smirking. I groaned, "Leon…." He laughed before putting on a serious look. "Will you go with me to the Firefly Festival?", he asked. "Ok!", I chirped. He smiled, "Don't be late." "I won't!", I replied already excited for the next day. I had completely forgotten that tomorrow was the festival! I skipped back to my room ready for anything.
The next day I met him in front of the castle. "Ahh you made it on time, let's go we're heading to Selphia: Dragon Lake.", he said. I nodded skipping off with him trailing behind me. Halfway there I slowed down and walked beside him. I nervously took his hand, I really hoped he would be ok with it. Evidently it was obvious that I was nervous because Leon asked, "You ok?" I nodded trying to look anything but nervous. When we arrived he took a look around humming a tune. "What's that song Leon?", I asked. "Hmm? Oh that.", Leon mumbled. He paused before replying, "Well...it's a folk song we used to sing back in when I was a kid." I smiled, "Sounds really cool!" Now was my chance, I needed to strengthen our relationship. Hmm…..oh! I could hug him! I shuffled a little closer to him before hugging him tight. The hug was enough to make his heartbeat go up like crazy, but not enough for him to get hurt. I had a crazy idea, so I pulled a Leon. "Your heartbeat just went up a ton, I guess your nervous having a girl this close huh?", I commented. I looked up to see his face looking back at me with a really red face. I buried my face in his chest listening to his rapid heartbeat slow down. After a few minutes Leon asked, "You ready? The fireflies are going away." I didn't want to go, but I slowly pulled away and nodded. "Alright, I'll walk you back.", he stated. He had the cutest smile on his face and I couldn't help but smile too.
