I looked outside of the car window.. Rain was dripping down it slowly. It was like a race between raindrops. I would usually smile at this, but not today. Today was different. I was on my way to Ohio. The new place I would be living. Why in the hell would my dad make me move here anyways? It didn't have California's bright, radiant sun… Or the beautiful, sandy beaches. My chest ached. I was going to miss it there so much.

We slowly pulled into the driveway of my new home. I had to admit it was cute. But I didn't want cute. I wanted my friends, and my beach house. I let out a long sigh, walking into the house. My dad had already moved most of our furniture in, weeks in advanced. I glanced out the kitchen window, seeing my neighbors playing football. They saw me watching, and grinned, curling their fingers into a wave. I rolled my eyes and walked away.

"Miley!" Robby Ray shouted. "There is someone at the door for you!"

I ran down the stairs and walked to the door. There were two boys standing on the porch. "Erm- Can I help you?" I asked them, walking out onto the porch and shutting the front door.

"Just wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood." The curly headed one said, winking.

"Thanks," I straightened out my shirt, thinking of something to say. "I'm Miley."

"I'm Nick, and this is my brother, Joe." Joe waved, smiling slightly. "We have another friend, he lives across the street.. But he was too shy to come over here." Joe said, chuckling.

I simply shrugged. "Oh, well. Maybe I'll meet him another time."

"Just warning you, he's not as cool as us."

I tried so hard not to roll my eyes.

"His name," Joe said. "Is Justin."
