ReAd Me: I really tried to get the characters' personallities as close as possible to those of the movie characters'. I agree, I lost touch of Jack in the middle. The chapters may be really short or really long, depending on where I decide to make a breaking point. I'll probably put a chapter up every weekend, considering I already have the whole entire story (except the occassional scene) on a word document. This is done with one of my good friends over AIM, and if any one of you peoples are interested in getting placed in a story of your own, feel free to ask (but not through a review please). Pleeeeeeease review this, even if you think it's some of the most pathetic writting in the world. I want to know your opinion, so flames are accepted (except from you, Sheila, because I KNOW you have no good reason too).

DISCLAIMER: Um...what was my line again? *looks at script* Oh! I Do Not own Pirates of the Bahamas. *gives big smile*

Director: Cut! *shakes head* Ok, take 5 and we'll try it again...

Chapter 1

~~~~~~~~~
It's a beautiful day in Port Royal. Young Miss Todd is walking down the streets, shawl around her shoulders, a basket looped on her arm. She looks at a sign hanging just ahead. It reads "Turner Metal". Her eyes fill with tears. For years she had loved him, but she never admitted it before it was too late. Now he was set to marry Miss Elizabeth, the governor's daughter.
Eleanor Todd keeps walking, but she quickens her pace, racing to get past the shop. She wasn't fast enough.
"Why, good day, Miss Todd!" William Turner exclaims from the open door. He is covered in soot and sweat, but it didn't seem to dampen his spirits.
Eleanor stops in her tracks. She has to say something, but what? She stares blankly at him, blushing. She stands there longing to run over and just hug him, wishing and hating herself for being so dumb. /Why didn't I say something sooner?/ She thought to herself. She was so lost in thought that she almost forgot he was there.
"Eleanor, are you feeling alright?" Will asked, walking towards her while wiping his hands clean on an even dirtier work apron. "You've been acting oddly ever since I got back from sailing. I assure you, all that pirating didn't turn me over to the dark side. I'm still just a blacksmith."
"No, I'm fine," Eleanor managed to say, but her heart screamed a different tune.
"Ok then. Have a nice day." And with saying this, he returned to his work.
Eleanor allowed herself an exasperated sigh. /Why, oh, why can't god ever give me the grace to say something better when I need to? Just when I want to say something clever or funny, I always end up saying something that makes me seem much less than a common simpleton./ Her thoughts were interupted yet again by the drumming march of the patroling troops. This is one of the last places that she wanted them to ridicule her heritage...
She hurries back to the small, dreary cottage she had to call home. Slowly, she closes the door behind her and starts to silently weep. Suddenly, she hears something move behind her. Eleanor reaches for a dagger hidden in the lining of her apron, but another one presses against her throat.
