A/N So now we're on hiatus. :(

Fortunately for all of you, that's when I write the most!

Set at the end of the finale, their 'walk in the moonlight', my first fluff attempt (which I probably failed at, but oh well)

Question to all OQ-ers: Am I the only one not surprised at the whole Regina-can't-have-kids thing? I personally headcannoned it for a while and am not particularly upset over the canoness of it! I'd love to talk about it (or any other ouat stuff)

A Walk in the Moonlight

Robin smiled at Regina, attempting to start making up for all the lost time the memories of the fake Enchanted Forest had brought them.

"So you took the place of Snow in the fake universe."

"It seems so."

Robin smirked. "Funny, I don't remember competing against Snow White the first time around."

"Oh, so we were competing."

"You seemed to think so."

"Well, if it wasn't for you and the merry men, I would have gotten passage out of the kingdom a long time ago."

"Good thing we were in the way, then, or we would have never gotten back to Storybrooke."

"Good thing." They fell into a silence for a while, still trying to separate the fake memories from the real ones (a task they unfortunately had practice in). "There's still one thing that still gets me." Regina admitted.

"Oh?"

"You were wanting to have me replace you as head of the Merry Men?"

Robin blanched as he remembered that. "I-"

"Ha! Like you'd ever let your precious gang out of your sight. I swear, we're going to have to take them with us on our honeymoon."

"Honeymoon?"

"I mean-," Regina covered, eyes wide.

"No, it's alright. Just . . ."

"Forget it. Slip of the tongue."

"Of course."

They turned down a different street, both silently trying to figure out how to make the situation less awkward.

"But really, as though you would ever let anyone new become a part of your little bachelor club."

"Not so much a bachelor club anymore." Robin gave Regina a quick kiss. "And it's not as though we aren't open to new members."

Regina raised an eyebrow in a clear 'i don't believe you' gesture.

"It's true! A warrior named Mulan traveled with us for some time before she went off seeking her own happiness in another kingdom."

"As if."

"It's true! Ask Little John if you don't believe me."

"Well, from now on, since I'm now leader of the Merry Men-"

"Oi!"

"-I say we make sure this alleged Mulan got her happy ending all right."

"I agree, but we did just get back from saving everyone's lives."

"Not now, obviously. We have our own happy endings to worry about now."

"I don't see it."

Frowning, Regina's steps faltered slightly. "Don't see what?"

"The way I'm looking, our happy ending seems like it's going pretty good right now."

They smiled at each other, the sappiness of the moment being pushed to the back of their minds because they're both alive, their children are safe, their family is healthy, and all was well.

Of course, as they turned to corner to pass directly in front of Mr. Gold's shop, it took only a few minutes for all that to turn.
