The Legend of Zelda and the Staff of Darkness

Chapter one: A New Land
Link looked into his food sack and groaned. There was barely anything left. It had been nearly five days since he left Termina to return home to Hyrule. He was also determined to continue his search for his long lost friend, Navi. Link was beginning to realize that the Happy Mask Man's map was leading him nowhere.
Link was about to crumple up his map when he saw faint lights in the distance. He started to run towards what looked like Hyrule. The closer he got, the more it looked like somewhere he'd never been before. Link didn't care anymore. He just wanted to eat and sleep. The village looked very dark and gloomy. Link knocked on one of the doors. He was greeted by a young and rather large man.
"I'm sorry you're lost." grunted the man.
"How did you know?" asked Link, confused.
"No one would ever venture here on purpose, especially at our land's current state." the man said with a half-smile. " We seem to be cursed. Seeing your sword, I know you have many stories and questions, but they can wait until morning. The moon has risen, and you must rest."
Before Link could say another word, he was led inside onto the softest bed he had ever laid on. Who was that man? He didn't even say his name! Link was too tired to think. Hopefully things would be clearer tomorrow.
