"Who do you think would win in a fight; Kite or Haseo?"
The question made the Twilight Knights look at the red head boy quizzically. Truth be told, they hadn't really thought about who would win between the two legendary heroes.
"I think Haseo would win. He's got like four different weapons and his avatar to boot."
"But Kite has his Daybreak bracelet as well as Data Drain Arrow and his azure flame god abilities so I think he would win."
Soon, everyone began to break out into argument, taking one of the two sides and hurling insults at one another.
It was then that Haseo and Kite entered the room.
"Uh…" the two didn't know what to think of the mass of people who were split in two.
They were scared however, when they all shouted in unison "You!"
Both of the teens froze, thinking that they had done something wrong.
"Who would win in a fight between you two?"
Haseo and Kite sweatdropped "Is this what you guys are arguing about?"
"YES, NOW ANSWER THE QUESTION!"
"Neither of us would win" the two replied
The room grew silent, before everyone screamed "WHAT?"
Kite began to fidget "Well yeah I mean, I'm not even sure if we would fight each other."
"We might have an argument but a physical fight, most likely not." Haseo added
The crowd began to stare at the two as though they were on crack. Even Tokio, the one who had asked the question was shocked. Did the two consider each other evenly matched or something?
"I…think I'm just going to leave now…" Kite muttered as he backed out of the doorway
"Same here…" Haseo commented as he followed Kite out the same way.
Everyone was silent, even though they were dumbfounded and confused they continued about their previous business as though nothing happened.
So like, I've notice that this is a popular argument within the .Hack/ series and I was thinking "Who would win in a fight?" Of course the problem was that the fight had too many factors and not only that it's a pain to work out the factors (Since now Kite has an Xth form in Link) but I was like "Oh well why not do a quick FF on it?" Honestly though, I do see Haseo and Kite being like BFFs or a pairing and not actually fighting each other (Especially Kite since he's a big softie). In addition, the two have been through the same exact crisis pretty much (Hell even their stories begin the same way if you've played the game) and they fought all the phases and Cubia so you can't really say that they're all that different from each other (with the exception of character development). Thus, why I conclude that they would at LEAST respect each other to some degree and not get into a physical fight.
(Sorry for the ranting, I just love these two to death and hate the fact people pit them against each other .)
