An: Just a little one-shot. Hope you enjoy!

Ted came out of the Cabin and picked up the intercom system to the plane and began to sing.

"Out of the tree of life I just picked me a plum." He began everything on the plane seemed to stop and all eyes turned to the Captain. "You came along and everything started to hum." Laura who was serving a passenger froze and looked over at Ted. Laura had seen a lot of things in her five years at Pan Am, but nothing like this. "Still it's a real good beat the best is yet to come." He continued and winked at her grooving to the song and snapping his fingers. "The best is yet to come and Babe won't it be fine, you think you've seen the sun, but you ain't seen it shine." Laura looked at him and mouthed 'what do you think you are doing?' Ted just smiled that smile she loved so much and continued with the song. "Wait till the warm-ups underway, wait till our lips have met. Wait till you see that sunshine day, you ain't seen nothing yet." Laura watched Ted do the most ridiculous, embarrassing, stupid, sweet, romantic thing. "The best is yet to come, come the day you're mine. Come the day you're mine I'm gonna teach you to fly." Of course Ted would choose a song with flight involved in it. "We've only tasted the wine, we're gonna drain that cup dry. Wait till your charms are right for these surround, you think you've flown before, you ain't left the ground. The best is yet to come, and Babe won't it be fine. The best is yet to come, come the day you're mine. Come the day you're mine, I got plans for you babe. And Baby you're gonna fly." Ted Finished. At this point everyone was leaning in the aisle trying to see what was going on. "So Laura what do you say, will you be mine?" he asked getting down on one knee and pulling out a small velvet box. Everyone looked at Laura who had tears in her eyes. The lady that Laura had been serving nudged her and said "Well don't keep us all waiting tell that boy yes already." Laura laughed and nodded her head to Ted running into his arms, and kissing him. The plane erupted into applause and Laura and Ted laughed. Ted slipped the ring on her finger and whispered an 'I love you to her', which she returned.

"So did I pick the right time to give you a ring?" Ted asked remembering their conversation all those years ago. Laura laughed and playfully hit him as he took her in his arms and kissed her again. Yep the best was defiantly yet to come.
