I'd like to thank kellyscott1 for giving me this idea!

The Song

"Are they moving around again?" Nick asked Jackie, as he watched her place her hands on her enormous belly.

"Yeah." Jackie told him with a smile.

They were driving to their favorite deli, not far from their house.

The couple had just gone to the mall so Nick could buy a new suit for a trial he was presenting evidence at in a couple of days and then Nick thought it would be nice if he took Jackie to lunch.

He reached over and felt her stomach but because there was heavy traffic he figured he should probably have both hands on the wheel and pay attention to what he was doing.

Jackie flipped on the radio.

"It was Christmas in Las Vegas when the locals take the town." She sang along to the radio.

Nick immediately reached over and turned the radio off.

"Hey, I like that song." Jackie protested as she turned it back on.

"Jackie, leave it off." Nick snapped angrily, catching her completely off guard.

Jackie looked at him with shock and hurt in her eyes.

"Jacks I'm sorry." He told her, immediately feeling terrible.

"It's ok." She told him although she didn't really mean it.

Maybe I'm not the only one that is totally hormonal right now she thought to herself.

Nick suddenly pulled into a parking lot.

"Why did you pull in here? This restaurant has been closed for a long time."

"I know, I pulled in here because I have to tell you something." He explained.

"Ok, what is it?" She asked.

"Well, there's something you don't know."

"What?"

"The reason I hate that song, the reason I snapped at you for turning it back on is, well, the night that I was kidnapped, as I was driving to my scene, the one where I was abducted at, that song came on the radio, and I did just what you did, I started singing along because I liked the song too. As I was in the coffin I would sing it to myself, I guess I was just to try to keep my sanity. While I was in the box, I had this nightmare where I was laying on Doc's table and he was performing my autopsy and my dad was standing there too and he kept making odd remarks about how I'll look good at my funeral and Doc had my organs in his hands, and that song was playing in the background, so that is why I now can't stand to listen to that song, but I'm sorry I snapped at you, I should have just told you instead of snapping at you."

"Nicky, I'm so sorry, I had no idea." She told him before reaching over and grabbing his hand.

"Thanks." He responded as he gave her hand a squeeze.

A few moments passed.

"Are we good?" He asked her.

"I'm good, are you?" She asked worriedly.

"Yeah." He smiled.

"Let's go to lunch." He said.

"Alright, sounds good, the babies and I are hungry."

As they drove to the small deli they made small talk with one another and left the radio off.

The End!
