Dawnstar walked by the edge of the ravine. She was tracking sweet, mischievous Sorrelkit.
"So if she went this way, she's—"Dawnstar muttered, then stopped. Darkstripe, a ThunderClan warrior, was feeding the tiny kit DEATHBERRIES! "STOP, FOXDUNG!" she yowled at the tabby. She picked up the kit in her jaws and ran to camp. "Cinderpelt! I need some yarrow! Fast!" The gray she-cat ran to Dawnstar's side. She had the herb in her jaws. Dawnstar forced Sorrelkit to eat the foul tasting plant. In a moment, the deathberries were out of her system.
"What happened?" Willowpelt, Sorrelkit's mother, asked nervously.
"I caught Darkstripe feeding her deathberries near the ravine. If I hadn't grabbed her, she would be dead now." Dawnstar told the gray tabby queen. Firestar, the leader of the Clan, had overheard.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!" he yowled from the Highrock. Everyone but Sorrelkit was there. "Dawnstar has just accused Darkstripe of attempting to poison Sorrelkit. She claims—"
"It's not just a claim!" Sorrelkit yowled. She limped into the clearing. "He DID try to poison me! He tricked me by giving me some as a "special treat" when really he wanted me to keep quiet about him meeting a huge white yucky-smelling cat with black feet."
"Blackfoot, Tigerstar's deputy," said Graystripe.
"Dawnstar grabbed me after saying, 'STOP, FOXDUNG!', and then fed me some yucky herbs after taking me back to camp. I rested for a little while, and then I'm here, telling you what really happened."
"You can't really trust Dawnstar," the tabby scoffed. "After all, she's not Clanborn."
"What do you mean, 'not Clanborn'?" Firestar asked.
"She's not a Clan cat, loner, rouge, or even a kittypet. She's a Twoleg." Darkstripe had once witnessed Dawnstar and Flamepelt's transformation from cat to human. "And you can't really trust a kit."
"Nevertheless, you have two counts for your exile. I'm sorry, Darkstripe. You are no longer a ThunderClan warrior. If you set foot in our territory, you will be treated as an enemy," Firestar meowed.
"May I chase him from camp?!" Graystripe and Dawnstar said at the same time.
"Yes," Firestar responded. Darkstripe was later killed in a fight with Dawnstar. The dark tabby went to the Dark Forest, where he later helped train Clan cats for the final battle. The evil tabby later was killed by Graystripe.
