(A/N: I admit that this idea came to my mind at midnight, so I decided to write it down immediately before it was too late. Anyways... wheee, first fanfic about Anneliese and Julian! Hope you'll enjoy it)
"I must be silent" Julian repeated again in his mind "I don't want to wake her up, right?"
He glanced at the bed again, his wife sleeping peacefully under the blanket. He hoped she wouldn't try to grasp his arm like she always did in her sleep, because she wouldn't touch his skin and she'd immediately wake up with a gasp.
No, she couldn't wake up. It was her birthday, probably the only date Julian could never forget, and he had thought about a perfect gift for Anneliese since two months. He wanted to surprise her with something special, and if she had woken up, he would've had to say farewell to his idea.
"Please, please, please, don't wake up..." he slowly opened the wardrobe and quickly took a golden box with a pink ribbon and a bow from inside, then closed again the wardrobe without even breathing.
He walked towards his and Anneliese's bed again, leaning down and kissing her lightly on the lips. She slowly opened her eyes and a sweet smile appeared on her face when she found him in front of her.
"Happy Birthday, my love" Julian whispered
"Thank you..." Anneliese sat on the bed and looked at him, then noticed the golden box beside her "Is this for me?" she asked
Julian nodded "Open it, and tell me if you like it"
She squealed delighted when she saw what her birthday present "A book about gemstones! And I've been looking for this one in particular everywhere! ...How did you find it?"
"Dominick and I went for a walk in his and Erika's kingdom and in a bookshop I found this. I immediately thought about you and decided to buy it" he explained, smiling
"Thank you so much!" she pulled him into a deep kiss and pushed him down under her
"What does that smirk on your face mean, Anneliese?" he asked, chuckling
"Aren't you the other part of my birthday present?"
"If I was, then you'd have a hundred years old now" he joked "Since I'm beside you every single day."
"I don't care, today I want you even more" again, that smirk appeared on her face "I love you, Julian"
He rolled his eyes and laughed "I love you too, Anneliese" he began to kiss her and pushed her down at his place
"At what hour will we go downstairs? Erika and Dominick will surely be waiting for us" she asked, chuckling
"What makes you think that they're downstairs? Maybe they're in our same situation, since Erika was born the same day as you, and at the same hour, also"
"Oh, right. ...Then, kiss me again"
