Cloud does not know that, and nor does he needs to know.
Your burden is your own burden. If only it could have happened in a different way. But it doesn't matter now. It has never mattered when Gaia and Jenova are involved. You are but a pawn in their scheme of a world larger than life.
And all you could hope now if for Cloud to wait for you, till the end of time.
