It was an incredible feeling to be...wild.

I ran through the shadowy forest at an amazing speed, with hardly any effort. I felt my lungs expanding steadily and my heart practically thumping out of my chest, although I really didn't have to breathe at all. My feet felt like wings as I flew past the trees and leapt agilely over unintimidating logs and rocks. It seemed like I was barely even touching the ground.

I wasn't exactly sure how it had happened at first. All I knew was that I was now something, "out-of-the-ordinary" I guess you could say. A mighty myth-like creature, or a freak of nature? I'll get back to that later.

My inky hair whipped backwards as I shot through a moss-green meadow, through the dense brush, while heading towards the dark fringe of pines that bordered my house. I was still well over a hundred yards away, but I could see Mom waking up for work through her bedroom window. She would go crazy if she found out my secret, but did she really have to know?

No, don't think so.
