"Why?" Emma almost whined.

"It will be good for the town. For everyone. It has been calm here now in Storybrooke for almost a full year. Since you defeated the dark curse Emma. It will be fun," Snow insisted.

Emma and her mom were at Grannies after spending the morning together doing archery. Snow had been teaching her archery skills to Emma for a few months now after Emma had made the request. She cherished these times of bonding with her daughter and as she looked down at her growing abdomen realized that she wouldn't be able to do it much longer. She giggled then as her eyes moved over to her daughter and she glanced at Emma. Emma too would be putting archery on the back burner in a few months. Snow thought of the absurdity of it all. Both her daughter and herself pregnant at the same time. With due dates within weeks of each other. Her giggle turned into a full blown laugh.

Emma looked at her mother with her eyebrows raised and a frown. "What now?"

Snow just shook her head, and pointed at her stomach and then Emma's.

Emma grinned. "Yeah I know. Hey, you know everyone in town is taking bets on which one of us delivers first. Did you know that?

Snow nodded. " I have 50 bucks on you."

Emma's smile faltered as she gazed back at her mom. "You think I am going first? But your due date is 10 days before me."

"I know. But the odds are better with you. Seven to one."

"Mom!"

"Well we could use a new TV Emma".

Emma just shook her head. "So then why must we do this now?

"Because the town needs it Emma. Having a Festival commemorating a year of peace and your defeat of the darkness will help the town heal. Bring us all together again. Remind us of what we have," Snow answered her.

"But sword fighting, archery, sailing, horse racing, and stuff?" Emma questioned.

"Yes, Emma all those competitions, and food, and drink, and entertainers, all culminating in a Festival Ball. It will be amazing. Just like back in the Enchanted Forest. But with indoor plumbing too."

Emma laughed. "But in only a month. How in the world or any other are you going to pull that off?"

"With a lot of help I suppose." Killian said as he slid into the chair next to his wife. Emma glanced at him and back to her mom.

"You told him before me?" Emma asked a bit bewildered.

"Aye Lass. She said she would need my obvious skills to help get it all together."

Emma frowned. " What skills?"

He raised an eyebrow, grinned and scratched his right ear. "Why to convince you to be a part of it love. Am I succeeding?" He tilted his head sideways and gave her his puppy dog eyes. Emma whacked his arm and groaned. She looked at her mother who was also looking at her with that sweet Mary Margaret wistfulness.
"Please Emma?"

" Oh sure. Gang up on a poor soul with hormone issues. Totally not fair. You should both be ashamed."

For a minute Snow looked chastised then recovered and simply said,

"Henry is on board too." She slid over in her booth as David sat down. He had over heard the last part of the conversation.

David smiled as he gave his wife a kiss on her cheek. He looked at his daughter and nodded at her.

"I never had a chance, did I? Emma asked him.

David shook his head and smiled. "Nope."
