OoooooO
"Mrrrow!"
Jackal and Marui turned to look at the bony kitten beside the garbage cans they had just passed. Kirihara ignored the pitiful cry and kept walking.
"Akaya!" Marui called to his kouhai. "Hold up!"
"Senpai, we're already late. Fukubuchou is going to give us laps." He rubbed the fading bruise from the last time his senpai had convinced him to take the scenic route.
"But look how cute it is!" Marui bent down to coax the kitten out of hiding. It wobbled past him and rubbed its head against Kirihara's leg. Kirihara shoved it away with his foot.
"Akaya!" Jackal chastised. The kitten mewed and staggered to it's feet.
"It's gross!" Kirihara said. "It's probably diseased or something!" The flea bitten thing belonged in the trash, not beside it. He turned and continued down the side walk.
"We can't just leave it here!" Marui called.
"Yes we can," Kirihara shot back.
"Akaya." Kirihara stopped dead, a chill running down his spine. Slowly he turned to see who had called his name. His senpai-tachi were slumped against the wall, unconscious. The mangy kitten sat on Marui's leg, staring at him with glowing red eyes.
"Akaya," the kitten growled in a deep voice, stalking towards him. Kirihara took a step back and tripped. The kitten continued to advance. "I'm dead because of you Akaya."
Kirihara scrambled to his feet and tried to run, but sharp claws dug into his leg and pulled him back down. "You killed me Akaya," the kitten growled, climbing up Kirihara's leg. Akaya winced as the needle sharp claws tore into his skin. "I'm hungry and you let me starve."
"No!" Kirihara screamed as the kitten licked it chops. "Eat Marui-senpai! He tastes like cake!"
"You killed me! A helpless little kitten! You left me to die, Akaya! Now you're going to pay." The kitten opened its mouth and dove in for the kill.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"
Kirihara's eyes snapped open, his heart pounding in his chest. He threw back the sheets to check for scratches. Even though he couldn't see any, he felt them as sharply as he had a moment before. Running a hand through his damp hair, he realized what he had to do.
OoooooO
"Kitty!" Kirihara whispered, not wanting anyone to wake up and ask what he was doing there at 3 am. "Come here you little flea bag!"
"Mrrow!" Kirihara felt a furry head rubbing against his leg. Scowling, he picked the tiny creature up by the scruff of it's neck.
"I'll take you home, but no eating me, alright?" The kitten mewed in agreement as Kirihara wrapped it in a towel and headed home.
