A/N: After reading Rebel Angels, I felt bad for Pippa, even though it's obvious she was corrupted. Just a one-shot on her journey to the Winterlands, and how she felt.

Corrupted Beauty

She ran erratically, blinded by tears. Her hands were placed just a bit in front of her, so she could somewhat feel her way through the thicket.

Betrayed...how could they...!

For just a moment she stopped, leaning against a tree. Lady Beauty. But beautiful no longer.

The power of the realms was bound to Gemma, so it no longer ran freely. She no longer was the lovely Pip of Spence Academy. Her face was alarming to look at, her dress tattered and hair wild, bits of dead flowers and leaves clinging to it here and there.

That was what she was.

Dead.

Because of Gemma.

Gemma left her, left her to drown...

No, a small, rational part of her said. You chose to stay, chose to eat the berries and be with your knight, foolish girl.

"No," she whispered out loud to no one, as she stood, shaking with anger and misery. "No, it wasn't my fault...no, no, NO, NO, NO!" Pippa screamed, hands to her head. It wasn't like that! She had no choice!

Gemma had wanted her gone all along! Even after she had saved her life! Gemma had gotten rid of her, had kept Felicity all to herself, had brainwashed Ann practically too...

All for the power.

She was a witch!

There was a way to stay alive in the realms, and she wouldn't tell her!

Pippa started off again, towards the only place where she could possibly find help...the Winterlands.

Even now the loneliness and fear was setting in. It was too quiet, after the sound of her own shrieking voice. Was she becoming mad?

Her arms wrapped around herself, recalling fond memories. Maybe things could go back to the way they were...

Yes. Felicity, dear Fee, she hadn't shot her! But she also had told her she had to go over...wouldn't believe that there was some other way.

She had sided with Gemma.

And suddenly, hatred for that girl came back in a rush.

What power did this girl have, that she could turn everyone against her so?

Pippa knew that she was right.

What was that...?

Three girls, dressed in white, suddenly appeared ahead. They were smiling, and beckoning her forwards.

Come, we'll show you the way, they seemed to be saying with their eyes.

So Pippa, lost and alone, followed. She had nothing left to lose.

Eventually, she would arrive at the Winterlands, where the corrupted souls who refused to cross over always ended up, one way or another.

Gemma, you'll see. Everyone will see you for who you really are, and I will never cross over.

Fee, wait for me.
