NOTE: This is my first fanfiction. :D I hope you enjoy. Just so you know, this takes place during the Chunin Exams, right after the second test, at the Forest Of Death. This is when they are pairing up the ninja with each other to fight each other in matches.
"And next up," said the announcer, "We have Ino versus Sakura!"
Naruto's eyes widened. "Sakura?!" he muttered. Kakashi Hatake was standing next to Naruto and turned to Sakura who was beside him. "Go for it, Sakura. I believe in you. Good luck," he said in his calm, soothing voice. Sakura nodded and went down the steps. She stepped onto the platform where she would be battling Ino. This battle is important, Sakura thought. If I lose this fight I will be disqualified. I have to win. No matter what. Sakura straightened her headband. She looked at Ino who stepped onto the platform as well. Sakura knew she had to win this.
"Ready... START!" The announcer said. Sakura began running towards Ino. She tried to hit her but she missed. And she missed again. And again. And again. She pulled out a kunai knife, but Ino dodged it without a problem. Sakura's didn't have any signature jutsus, so beating Ino would be hard. You see, kids, Sakura is a very useless character because she is absolutely terrible. Her signature move is throwing a kunai knife. And missing. Which is what she was doing now.
Sakura stopped and tried to focus. Come on, she thought. Pay attention, Sakura! You can't lose focus. Sakura stayed still. Then Ino stayed still. They both stopped and began staring at each other, as if this was a staring contest instead of a fight that is life or death. They didn't move. They just stood there, staring at each other. This went on for several minutes.
"What the hell is going on?!" Naruto whispered to Kakashi. "I don't know," said Kakashi. "They aren't moving at all. What could they possibly be thinking?"
Sakura and Ino stayed glued to their spot. They were both having flashbacks, you see, back when they were children and they were friends, or whatever.
Finally, after twenty minutes, Sakura spoke up. "YOU CAN'T WIN! I'M STRONGER THAN YOU! ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS SASUKE AND HOW PRETTY YOU LOOK AND..." and blah blah blah. She kept on mocking Ino until Ino got mad. "OKAY, SINCE YOU WON'T STOP BICKERING, I'M GONNA CUT OFF ALMOST ALL OF MY HAIR FOR NO APPARENT REASON SO I CAN BE LIKE YOU!" Ino shouted. She grabbed a kunai knife and cut almost all her hair off until it was as short as Sakura's. The hair coincidentally happened to la d right in front of them two.
Everyone gasped at Ino. Then, for twenty more minutes they stared at each other without doing ANYTHING AT ALL. Everyone was as confused as hell. "WHAT IS HAPPENING?!" Naruto shouted, confused. Kakashi shrugged.
Then finally, Sakura and Ino finally decided to do something to each other, and they began running towards each other. "Finally," Naruto murmured. Sakura and Ino then fist bumped each other and went back. This went on for an hour. Finally, the announcer stepped up.
"Sorry, but this has been going on for WAY TOO LONG!" He shouted, looking at Sakura and Ino. "YOU TWO ARE DISQUALIFIED! See you next year, bye!"
Sakura and Ino gasped. Sakura began throwing a fit and Kakashi had to carry her up the steps. Sakura waved her arms and kicked her legs like madness. Like an angry toddler who couldn't have candy.
"BUT WHY?!" she screamed over and over.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Sakura is probably the most useless character in all of Naruto.
