Alex's POV. First Fanfiction. Please review!
Of all the places for our manager to schedule us to play! A church. Really a church? Apparently some kids at the local Catholic high school had written a letter about how much they loved us and could we please come play for their school for music appreciation day. But still, I couldn't get over it a church! I hadn't been to church since I was like 12 and I got confirmed. But, apparently the kids at the school were like rich so, at least it paid well.
I tried to treat it like any other gig, so before we were about to play I did what I always would do. I picked one of the girls in the crowd and pictured singing every one of the songs to her. Usually I picked the hottest girl. But all these girls were so smoking in their little short skirts! Rocking the slutty Catholic school girl look of my dirty porn fantasies. I was about to settle for the blond bimbo who was clearly the school slut (you could tell by how her skirt was so short it exposed some of her juicy ass and her shirt was unbuttoned so you could see some of her luscious breasts) when I spotted " her" walking over to me. My manager introduced "her" and some other girl as the ones who had written the letter. I had expected some emo chicks which was mostly our general audience for God knows what reason. But, this girl was definitely not a standard emo girl.
She didn't wear her hair dyed black and straightened so it hung over her face like most emos do, but it waved just slightly in a manner that perfectly suited her face and seemed to be naturally brown. She wasn't just hot she was….. beautiful. There was something about the way she moved towards us so graceful and not at all star struck even though obviously she was a huge fan. She calmly introduced herself as Makayla. She explains that we are supposed to play a set in the church and the return to the school gymnasium for refreshments.
We obviously are only allowed to play clean songs that avoid any hint at sex, drugs ,alcohol, etc. and the big catch the principal who is a NUN would like it if we were to play at least one song with some sort of religious meaning! Great, I scatter my brain for any kind of religious song and the only songs that come to mind are Christmas songs. Makayla apparently having already thought this true is prepared saying that "Rembering Sunday" will do. God this girl is something else! She instructs me as to where the equipment is and then leaves me apparently still having some more things to straighten out before our performance. It is an acoustic show so I don't really have anything to set up besides turning the microphone on, so I take the time to wander around the back of the church.
