"Okay, class!" Lupin clapped his hands and looked out over the second years he was teaching. " I have one more announcement for you all before you go to Lunch. I've decided that we are going to start a bit of a long term project. We are going to be doing a duelling club of sorts." At these words, most of the class groaned; they remembered Lockhart's attempt at a duelling club during the previous year all too well. Lupin laughed a little bit at the groan, but waved a hand at everyone. "No need to worry, I have been told about Professor Lockhhart's lessons last year and, I guarantee you, this will not be like those. For starters, Professor Snape will not be invited to them." Half of the class let out a huge cheer; the other half were Slytherins. "The way this project will work is that we will be pinning Slytherins against Hufflepuffs. The house that wins the most points in the duels will get that amount of actual house points. That is all. You may prepare in any way you'd like. We start next class. Class dismissed."

The second year Hufflepuffs and Slytherins left the classroom talking about the project. News about the Duelling Club spread through the school fairly quickly and everyone who wasn't the second year Slytherins and Hufflepuffs were jealous. Why didn't they get one too? They all asked Lupin during their classes, but he just smiled and shrugged.

The following Monday, the Slytherins trickled into the room as usual, but the Hufflepuffs walked in as one mass of yellow, cheering something. When the starting bell rang, Lupin motioned that the Hufflepuffs should quiet down.

"Alright, class," he said with a smile. "I'm glad to see some house pride here!" The Slytherins were shocked at the Hufflepuffs boldness; they were usually just in the background. Now they were front and center, with bright yellow robes out. "Everyone, wands out!" The class pulled out their wands and pointed them at the other house. "I'm going to read off pairs, and you will find the person you're paired with. The aim of today is to disarm and get the other person's wand. Once you succeed at that, bring the wand over to me. I will award your house one point. Ready?"

Lupin read off a list of names and, one by one, they paired off. Once everyone was in pairs, Lupin shouted 'begin!' and cries of 'Expelliarmus!' were heard throughout the classroom. The Slytherins seemed almost bored with it, but the Hufflepuffs had determined looks on their faces; Hufflepuff deserved the glory. The were the mighty badger, and they didn't give a crap.

And they dominated.

It was mostly Hufflepuffs coming up to Lupin and handing in their partners's wands. At the end of the class, the Hufflepuffs had twenty-two points for their team and the Slytherins only had three.

The Hufflepuffs were chanting again, and this time everyone could hear the words loud and clear.

"Honey badgers don't care!

Honey badgers don't give a crap!

Honey badgers don't care!

Honey badgers don't give a crap!"
