Reunion
"So, how does it feel to be the first mate of the world's stupidest pirate captain once again?"
Zoro ground his teeth. "Oh, shut the fuck up. You're his personal chef."
Sanji flicked a match over the corner of a ratted match box. He absorbed the heat for a moment before lighting a cigarette. His seamless movements caught the attention of a woman passing by. He gave her a wink, however, her interest had been minimal at best. She strutted away without a second glance. "Feh. Nice to see you again too, shithead."
Zoro let out a gruff chuckle. "The women still don't care. Hasn't the time been kind to you at all?"
The two men fell into a pause.
"I missed the sea." Sanji closed his eyes. A gentle breeze picked up his cigarette's smoke, causing it to linger around his head for far too long.
Zoro stuck his hands within the pockets of his cheap black pants. He turned his brown eyes towards a vapor of a cloud in the distance. "There's something to be said about it." Zoro removed his first sword from its sheath at his waist so that he could inspect it.
Sanji sneered and altered his stance. "Starting a fight?"
"Nothing's ever stopped us before. Two years won't make a difference." Zoro's gaze followed every twitch and movement of Sanji's black suit.
"Only because that's the way it's always been."
Zoro broke into a full, deep laugh.
Far before his mind could register it, Sanji's foot slammed into his cheek. The impact would have caused any normal man to lose his entire set of teeth. Zoro merely fell to the ground, sword still in hand.
Sanji placed a foot on Zoro's chest, leaving a smear of dirt atop the swordsman's white shirt. "Still willing to say that?"
Zoro licked a bit of blood from his lip. He pulled Sanji's tie, bringing the chef down to his sight level. "Coming at me from the side missing an eye?"
"Fool. Don't act like I'm not the same." Sanji smirked between his smoldering cigarette.
Zoro grabbed his second sword. "You've improved."
Sanji posed for another kick. The one eye visible from beneath his blond hair watched his crewmate warily. "Yes, how fortunate for me. Not so much for you."
"And I thought this conversation wasn't going anywhere." A long smile slid across Zoro's face. He tied his black bandanna around his head before sticking his third sword into his mouth.
