Chapter 1: Len's/Rin's Background
Len grew up in a village of poverty with his sister, Rin. Their parents, along with many others were killed in a raid when they were only seven. Seeking revenge, Len tried on planning on defeating the unstoppable enemy, by planning each day and night, barely getting any sleep. He hardly consumed any food, nothing more a biscuit each day. One day, he suddenly snapped. His head wouldn't process due to the lack of sleep. No matter what he tried, he never could seem to sleep. His personality changed completely. Once a fun, loving person to a cold and wicked one. Many people feared him or thought bad of him. He had gone completely insane.
And as for Rin, she was traumatized by that day. Houses were set ablaze, bandits ran free, and people were shouting cries of help. Since then, she developed an imaginary friend that eventually became a split personality. She wasn't scared of her other half. Her other half was like a protector to her and the one's she loved. In dangerous situations, they would take over and fight for her. Although, at times, the other half could become possessive If the girl didn't keep it in check, bad things would often happen. Sometimes Rin would wake up in a strange place with various injuries, and sometimes there would be a dead body or two. She could always see and talk to her split personality as if it were another real person. The other half referred to itself as "Madness". It looked exactly like her, but seemed to act completely different.
They both had changed...Nothing could bring them back to their old selves...Nothing at all
