Kind of a short tragic oneshot inspired by end-credit images. If Lenalee seems too OOC, I apologize. It has no specific direction, nothing leading up to it. It's just like a snapshot sort of story.
Lenalee covered her eyes as sharp shudders tore through her body. Tears cascaded over her cheeks, mixing with the soft snow coming down, as if nature itself was trying to shelter her from the nightmare images surrounding her.
But it was too late. Even with her eyes closed tightly shut, she could still see them. Komui, Kanda, Lavi, Bookman, Krory, and others thrown like littered trash all around her. Their blood, seeping out to stain the pure white snow underneath them. Their glassy eyes, forever frozen in a look of horror. All of it was burned into Lenalee's soul and she felt herself collapse into the soft freezing drifts of snow.
"Why?" she choked, her lavender eyes slowly drawing open to see the bodies. Everyone she'd ever known, dead and gone, leaving her alone. All alone, just like when she first became an exorcist, except now she couldn't even hope to see anyone ever again. They were all dead. They couldn't ever return. They couldn't save her this time. But why would they? After all, Lenalee couldn't save them.
"It's okay Lenalee," a familiar voice reassured her. A blood-red hand fell softly on her shoulder, and Lenalee spun hopefully.
"Al...len?" she asked, her voice trailing off when she realized what she saw. Allen Walker's usually snow-white hair was stained with red, his right arm missing and deep wounds crossing his chest. But he still had that false smile on his face, as if he wasn't about to die like all the rest of the people around them. "No." The faint whisper drifted onto the air. "No! No! NO!" Lenalee screamed as Allen slowly collapsed forward, onto her shoulder.
"It's...okay. Don't worry about...us," Allen struggled, his voice weak. "Just live on, Lenalee."
"Please don't die!" she cried, even as Allen's final breath shuddered out and died in the cold air. Her head hurt and everything was wrong. This wasn't right. Everyone couldn't be dead! They couldn't be!
A scream tore its way out of her throat, echoing through the empty world. Not a single voice rose in reply. There was no one left to answer her desperate cry. Only the moon grinned down at her, clearly mocking her forever in that frozen wasteland.
