THE TWILIGHT SONG

Okay, so I got the idea for another anti-Twilight ditty, and I couldn't help myself. This goes to the tune of Billy Joel's "Piano Man", another personal favorite.

Once upon a time, there was a girl
Known to the world as Bella Swann
Kind of a funny and quirky kid
Doesn't know half of what's going on

One day, she bumped into some vampire dude
Yeah, Edward Cullen was his name
Oh, he's such a big shot,
So incredibly hot—
How come he doesn't burst into flames?

Da-da-da-de-de-da
Da-da-de-de-da-da-da…

Sing us a song
It's the Twilight song
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for some amusement
And you'll have us laughing all night

Now Jacob the wolf-man's a friend of hers
He wants Bella for his own
But to his great chagrin
Bella only likes men
Who sparkle, and are colder than stone

The one and only thing Bella dreams about
Is how to become a vampire, too
And she's willing to do whatever it takes
To make that fantasy come true

Da-da-da-de-de-da
Da-da-de-de-da-da-da…

Now James is a bloodthirsty maniac
Who hunts humans purely for fun
Though he seeks Bella's life
Edward comes just in time
And after one book, old James is done

And then there are a few issues to resolve
With that lot they call the Volturi
Yeah, I know their name sounds totally bizarre
And they're found only in Italy

Sing us a song
It's the Twilight song
Sing us a song tonight
'Cause we need something stupid to laugh about
To make us laugh until we die

It's a pretty good day for Bella's birthday
The Cullens are there to celebrate
But Bella throws a fit
She simply can't stand it
When the love of her life doesn't age

To make a long story short, Bella gets her wish
Now she's part of the vampire clan
There's no more to the story
Everything's hunky-dory
They're all happy, that's it, the end

Da-da-da-de-de-da
Da-da-de-de-da-da-da…

Sing us a song
It's the Twilight song
Sing us a song tonight
A clumsy beauty falling for a real beast
Well, this mix just doesn't seem right
