Odd Little Ways
Rogue.
She seemed to be on his thoughts lately. She didn't see or hear his entrance as he quietly watched her from the doorway. She just kept on correcting her papers from her seat on the couch.
This was different, he wasn't thinking or plotting anything at the moment. He was just watching her, it was nothing but that. A rarity in him. Purely watchful glances at her as she worked and the white fell into her round face.
He just stood like that, for longer than he cared to keep track of. No noise could be heard except for the scratching of her pen and the occasional shuffling of papers.
Then, she shifted slightly, sitting up. He felt caution shift into his odd tranquil mood to his more attuned self. He watched her for another moment before he was sure she hadn't seen him. He didn't know why he didn't want her to move or notice that he was there today.
Moving silently from the doorway, back the way he came; he glanced over his shoulder to look at her again.
Oui, Rogue hadn't seen him and he'd done nothing but watch her work. Oddly enough, that was enough for now. He liked it that way too, not just the banter and the flirting he was infamous for. Talking or doing seemed like it would have ruined the serene moment.
He needed more of those. Funnily enough, in her own odd little way, Rogue was helping him have that.

Rogue watched the tail of his trench coat silently follow his form out of the door. She smiled to herself re-reading the sentence again. She'd read it a good fifty times since Remy's silent entrance and the student's paper had a lot of useless scratch marks.
She'd pretended to not notice he'd come into the room, he was annoying once he got started and she wasn't going to give him extra chances.
Besides, Remy wasn't the only one who liked being sneaky. Still, she wouldn't mention it. It had been nice in an odd little way.
Author's Note- Thanks for Reading! That is probably my oddest one-shot, and the shortest. Compeltely random and pointless!
