This is my first time publishing something in English, and as a non native speaker, I would like to ask you to point out my mistakes with kindness, thank you ^^ This will be a collection of vignettes all based on the BBC version of Sherlock. Sleeping Statue
John silently sat on the wooden floor of Sherlock's bedroom. The detective's breathe was shallow, regular, barely noticeable. John didn't do this very often, but he really liked this. It always was an enigmatic spectacle to watch the man asleep, restoring the incredible energy that flooded from this brain to the rest of this statue-like body. John could stay here for hours and hours, his gaze fixed on the pale bare chest rising and falling. He would sit there, knees pulled up under his chin, stretching out a hand to brush over one curly lock. The doctor didn't know why he loved so much this sight of his flatmate, why it soothed his heart and soul. These soft pink lips let out a sigh as Sherlock rolled on his side. John also liked this sensation of not being able to take his eyes off of this tantalizing mouth and he would stare at it until himself fell asleep. When he didn't succumb to Morpheus' spell, he would lay his head on the edge of the bed, he would admire how the street lights and the headlights of the passing by cars played on the pale skin, how the shadows accentuated the curves of his shoulders, his collar bones. And sometimes John would place his hand over Sherlock's mouth and, eyes closed, feel the warmth of his breaths on the tip of his fingers. Tempted to touch. Afraid of breaking the fragile enchant of this moment. When he felt he couldn't resist anymore, then John would snatch back his hand, cross his arms on his chest and close his eyes until sleep takes pity of him and wraps its foggy arms around the doctor.
