He sobbed as he held her limp body and Jack realized that he truly loved Ellen. He loved the way she fought, he loved the way she spoke, he loved everything about her.

Maybe fate brought us together for a reason, maybe we were meant to be together.

Maybe not.

He thought of the hardships they went through, the Tournament, the siege of Trinity happening around them.

He picker her up and ran.

Not just past the gates.

All the way through town.

Past the field where they trained.

Past the school, the park and his house.

He brought her to the church, he wasn't sure why, but he had a feeling that if he brought her here, it would be all right. Maybe it was the fact that the magic of the Weir didn't work here, but he brought her to the altar and laid her down.

"Where were you, we still have a war to fight," the words came from Seph as he burst in the building "what happened." he had noticed Ellen, lying limp on the altar.

"Can…you…help." Jack said through labored breaths.

"I-I don't know"

"THEN TRY!" Jack yelled "please…just try"

"Okay but I need to get her out of the Church so I can."

Jack lifted her up and brought her behind the church.
