DM Margo and the Dinosaurs
One fine day when Margo was digging in Gru's back garden, she dug the spade into something rather hard. Margo gently pushed always the soil that covered it all. Gru came to inspect the very large thing. ''Dis looks like a bone of a dinosaur!'' He exclaimed. ''What's a dinosaur?'' Margo asked her eyes full of wonder.
''A dinosaur is a creature dat ruled de planet earth millions of years ago before humans came about'' Gru explained. ''What really?'' Margo asked. She couldn't believe such a thing. Gru called some experts to check out Margo's amazing discovery.
''I think we may have a complete skeleton'' one of the exports said excitedly ''Margo you have found a triceratops''. The other expert quickly gathered the rest of the bones. ''Congratulations Margo'' he said shaking hands with her. ''You shall have your picture in the newspaper''.
''Wow really?'' Margo breathed. She couldn't believe it. Her picture on the front of the newspaper? ''We couldn't have it any other way no matter whatsoever'' the expert said ''and you shall have a free entry to the museum to see the bones be put together''.
Margo was so excited about visiting the museum she hardly slept several nights before. At last the great day came. At first Margo was delighted to see the big triceratops standing so very tall. But when the museum manger started a really long speech, she felt really board so she whispered to Gru if she could go and look around.
''Yes sure'' Gru ''No Edith!'' he shouted suddenly ''don't climb up the dinosaur bones. It's dangerous!''. Edith reluctantly climbed down before anyone saw her. Meanwhile Margo was having a whale of a time wondering around on her own looking at lots of different skeletons and stuff.
Just then she saw a closed door. It had a notice on it. It said ''Danger Keep Out!''. Margo didn't have any idea why there could be any danger so she slowly pushed her way through the door and closed it as softly as she could behind her. Then Margo's eyes widened with wonder.
She was in the land of real dinosaurs! A small one walked straight up to her. ''Hi there I'm Pterodactyl'' he said. ''I'm Margo'' Margo said in the same voice she'd said it when she first met Antonio. Pterodactyl led her up onto a big back of a large Apatosaurus.
Margo certainly got a really good view from up there. She could see for many miles. When she had had enough, Margo slid down the tail like a big slide. It was one of the most fun things that she'd ever done in her whole life.
But just then a tyrannosaurs rex come running towards them. He didn't look friendly. But at the same time he looked very hungry indeed and he looked like he wanted Margo for his lunch!
Margo quickly made a dash for the door and closed it behind her just in time. ''Phew that was a near miss'' she panted. Margo decided to leave before any museum guard saw her near to where she shouldn't be.
That night Margo gazed at her new dinosaur T shirt that she'd been presented with to remind of the day she'd dug up a dinosaur in her garden. It was a day to remember. As Margo fell asleep. She dreamt about what it was like to be a big dinosaur.
