Zuko stared out his window at Ty Lee. She was spinning and flipping around the gardens outside his room. He winced as she flew up in the air and barely landed the flip before jumping into another.
He couldn't help but remember the time a few weeks ago when she had missed the landing. Seeing her lying still and cold on the ground had felt as if someone had driven a knife into his heart.
"ZuZu!" he looked up as Ty Lee skipped to his window.
"Ty Lee, aren't you supposed to be resting?" he asked.
"Nope! I'm all better now!" she spun around happily.
"Aren't you afraid of falling again?"
She grinned, "Of course not! Falling is the best feeling in the world! Of course, hitting the ground isn't so fun, but falling! Falling is being free. Like, falling to the ground laughing with your best friends. Or falling in love." her voice got softer at the last sentence, but Zuko didn't notice. He was thinking to himself, She's braver than I am.
Ty Lee smiled when she saw the look on his face. One day, Zuko, you're going fall for me. Like I already fell for you.
