The Arc family was going on their usual springtime camping trip in the Sera Forests, a Grimm-free camping forest in Vale. Jaune, his eight sisters, and his parents were setting up their campsite. Katy and Jessica, who were 19 and 18, were pitching tents, Anissa, who was 16, was unpacking the things, along with Karen, 15. Sarah, Michelle, and Taylor, 13-year-old tripletts were gathering firewood from around the campsite, while the 7 year old Kira was on an iScroll 5, made by Pear(A/N: Get it?). That night, after canned ravioli heated over a fire, and some family charades, everyone drifted off into a peaceful nights sleep.

In the morning, Mr and Mrs Arc decided to have the family go for a morning hike to a lake that was still partially frozen. The family of eleven walked in a long assembly line, with Jaune and Kira walking at the back. Kira was by far Jaune's favorite sister. She was kind, cute, and always brought Jaune little presents, from berries to rolly pollies to a big, warm hug. Kira would sometimes curl up in Jaune's lap as he sang her favorite lullaby, Crimson river. It was about overcoming fear and sorrow to accomplish a bigger goal. Jaune assumed it had a deeper meaning for her, because her older sisters would always tease her, and though they meant it as a joke, it would make a deeper cut than it appeared. The Arc family had finally made it to the frozen lake where they would have lunch, and while the family gorged themselves on ham and cheese sandwiches, Mr Arc told them about the time a duck attacked him when he got his foot stuck in a gopher hole. The family wrapped up their lunch as Mr Arc continued to tell wacky and outlandish stories, and continued on their way down the trail. Nobody noticed that Kira was following a Ebony butterfly, a butterfly who's black wings were laced with silver and iridescent green; and how she, entranced by its beauty, unknowingly walked out onto the frozen lake. The Arc family, albeit one member, heard a scream from the lake. Jaune started sprinting towards the lake, and saw Kira thrashing, and then she went under. He dove in and grabbed Kira, who's body now lay lifeless, her skin tinged an unnatural blue. Her wide innocent brown eyes were glassy and lifeless. Juane felt tears start rolling down his face as his family ran up to him. "She's gone." He choked out. His sisters stood there in shock, unmoving. and his parents began to weep softly, petting Kira's wet hair and muttering, "My baby girl. No no no, she had her life in front of her. She's too young."

Crimson river, oh how you flow,

Going through mountains, enduring snow

Crimson river, always alive,

How how you dance and hop, you'll never die

(A/N Crimson river is to the tune of Little soldier boy in Avatar: The Last Airbender)
