Angel

She told him too much about her past. Every word spoken of her past caused the wrinkles on his forehead to emphasize and the core of his heated illness to rise. All she ever released from her past made him sick. Her pathetic parents cared so little of a girl he grew to care for tremendously. The care he felt also sickened him, it made him contradict his own morals.

Her petite frame could be crushed under his touch or his mere gaze. She was young, far too young for him to make sense of the emotions that grew deeper and deeper. An innocent walk, an innocent smile, all that was innocent in the world he spit upon had found its refuge in the child who did more than he ever believed she would.

His mind wandered off to her innocence in its every form when the nights lingered. She did so much as to haunt him with her growing beauty. He had met her through his cruel mission to assassinate the insane, murdering animal that he would soon learn was her friend.

They found themselves talking first out of his questioning to find the escaped diclonious' hiding place. He was fierce, threatening, and far too rough on the child. He grabbed her by the collar, insisting she save herself by spitting out any information she had on the diclonious. She saved herself using a different method: his own kindness.

He had handed her a number to contact him by if anyone ever stomped all over her. That anyone turned out to be him, the toughest, bravest special agent on a secret mission. He reluctantly put her down to let her go. It was now that he was laying on the beach, severed and gory, that he realized that would be his first mistake.

Her tragic tears hovered above him for quick seconds before splashing upon his face. The strands of her hair brushed the sides of his face but did little to ease the incredible injuries he suffered. This innocent child who faced abuse and coldness had run away and found love in the most unfamiliar places by the most unsuspecting people.

And little did she know that the man who had just risked his life for her own was one of those people who was willing to provide all the love and warmth she ever needed. His mighty personality was pushed aside just by one glance of her soft features. She made him weak; she made him question his sanity; she made him experience love for the first time and the death that came with it.

And before he could question whether she loved him as well, she kissed his dry, pained lips. Even in death, he had found an angel that he wouldn't hesitate dying for over and over again.
