Slytherin Pride
Chapter 1
While walking through the corridors of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, James Elam was dressed in his usual apparel. A black t-shirt, jeans, a Slytherin robe, Slytherin tie, and some jeans. James' house, Slytherin, is purebloods. They are all pure-bloods. Except Clella. She's a Squib. Meaning she was born with magical blood but she can't do magic. Outside, some Ravenclaws are reading books and practicing spells. "Stupefy!" His friend, Tessa, yells. A red light shoots out of her wand and it stuns one of her friends over. James laughs at this. He thought Ravenclaws were smart. James keeps walking until he reaches the dungeon. A few years ago, he heard that a troll was released into it. He pulls out his wand. James always does this as a precaution.
After making it through the dungeon without being attacked, he walks up to the entrance, says the word "Pureblood", and enters the Slytherin Common Room. When he walks in, he is greeted by Clella. Clella was originally supposed to be in Hufflepuff since her family is from there but, since the sorting hat does take the person's choice into count, she was placed in Slytherin. She told James that she threatened to use the Confringo spell on it. The Confringo spell causes anything that the spell meets to explode in flames. "James, I made a polyjuice potion! Want to test it out, see if we can get into the Hufflepuff Common Room?" Clella asks. James says no and sits down in a chair beside a window. Clella keeps talking even though James is trying to relax. "Langlock!" James pulls his wand and cast the spell on Clella. The spell glues the victims tongue to the top of their mouth. Clella shuts up and walks away. James looks out the window and stares at the water outside. The water is dark and holds all kinds of magical creatures. Once, James saw a mermaid swim up the window. He watched it until it saw him and swam away.
James was supposedly a Metamorphmagus. It was true. A Metamorphmagus is a witch or wizard born with the innate ability to change some or all of their appearance at will. The talent cannot be acquired; a witch or wizard who has it must be born with it. Meaning, James changes his appearance at will. One day he could have long blue hair, shaggy green hair, or short red hair. He doesn't really like one color. James' favorite subject at Hogwarts was "Defense Against the Dark Arts." He loves that class because it is the only class that the professor makes a creature appear and then you have to kill it.
