It was a regular night. But it happened that night, hitting her heart breaking into shattering pieces. She exactly did not see that one coming. That was it. Her ongoing romance with Dallas ended, poof just like that. She decided to walk home, but she spotted a bench at the local park beneath the stars. Her best thinking was with nature, anyway. She was depressed because she thought the relationship was going so well, but oh how could she be so wrong. Would she ever love again? Maybe a certain someone could change her mind.
Running down the street upon the park path, was Ally Dawson's best friend Austin Moon. His perfect blonde hair flopped just the right way, and his skin glowed in the moonlight. He looked perfect in her eyes... Even if he was sweaty.
Austin spotted her right away and waved to his best friend. He knew something was bothering Ally because she only gave him a faint smile back.
"Ally what's wrong.." He spoke
"Nothing okay just please leave me alone right now" Ally resumed
Seeing Ally upset made his stomach hurt. If Ally knew it or not, Austin loves her as a best friend and even as more.
"But Ally, your anniversary date with Dallas was tonight! Did it not go as planned?"
"HE DUMPED ME OK", she screamed. Which she also felt bad about.
Austin stood there with a blank face, and that's where he noticed Ally had a small tear running down her cheek. At this time, he could read his best friend more than he could read his own music. He knew she didn't want to talk about it. But he did have some words to say.
He kneeled in front of her making eye contact and took a deep breath. "Ally, you are so beautiful, unique, and talented. Dallas was a jerk for putting your through heartbreak and dumping you because YOU are any guys girl of a dream. Ok? Don't let jerks like him get in the way with that".
"Thank you Austin. That was very sweet of you, but you are my best friend. You are like obligated to say that",'she chuckled.
Austin smirked, "Well Ally, maybe I am more than a best friend"
Ally's eyes opened wide, and heart started to beat. Did Austin know she had a crush on him all along? Is this really happening?
The next thing that she could see is that he was leaning in for a... Kiss?! Ally simply pressed her lips to Austin smiling in the kiss. From what felt like hours of pure happiness, which was only 60 seconds, they broke apart.
"Ally, I don't know if this is the perfect time, but will you be my girlfriend?"
"Oh Austin, I thought you would never ask"., and they shared one last kiss and gave each other one long hug underneath the stars.
