I've got the gift of one liners and you've got the curse of curves.
-Curse of Curves
you aren't quite sure when she became a fixture in your life. but she is. the blonde, blue eyed girl always sits opposite to you and her eyes glimmer with contempt.
she knows, you whisper, she knows
you see her watching you at night, from the corner of a bar, some sort of fruity cocktail in hand. she doesn't actually drink any of it, more intent on watching you use pick up lines on hopelessly dim girls. you think she will storm over to you demanding an explanation but she doesn't and you don't know why your heart hurts.
why, you ask, why don't you care?
she's able to break you without actually saying something. with fingers tangled in your hair, she wraps her legs around your waist, and oh god.
steph? your voice is weak.
her eyes are blank and it's terrifying. because you are so wrapped in guilty you just don't know how she doesn't care. you always thought you'd end up with someone provocative and talkative, not the girl who refuses to end things despite the numbness eating away at her soul.
talk to me, you plead.
she just straightens your shirt, and fixes the smudge of lipstick covering your neck. she fluffs her hair and leaves the closet, making you wait a few minutes before emerging and blending back into the crowd.
i'm sorry, you gasp before taking your last breath.
all you see is a wicked smirk faltering.
idk, but listen to Curse of Curves or watch the music video and it'll probably make more sense. I thought the song fitted jaysteph and idek what I wrote.
basically, Steph and Jason are together, but both aren't overly happy in the relationship, she cheats on her with multiple women, and she clearly knows but doesn't end things because they both don't want to let go of what they see as safe.
