Was it because of war, friendship or destiny? They couldn't tell, they just knew that it worked. After many merciless years of taunting, fighting and teasing did it end. It ended with S.P.E.W.

Although Ronald Weasley denies it to this very day, that's what triggered the reaction. Sure it would have happened eventually, but if not for Ron's selfless statement, they would be as they once were. Taunting, fighting, teasing. Its what they did.

Now Krum and Lavender fade into the distance, because they are unimportant. They were always unimportant. Merely a test for the other. They both failed miserably. Even Hermione, who has never gotten less than a 95 on any test, failed the most important one. She failed her own heart.

They were not very attractive to say the least but hat never really mattered. To each his own, as they say. Tall and freckled is with bushy and bucktoothed, the tabloids joked even after their marriage. How rude.

But they missed one very important detail. They were heroes. Many would say just sidekicks but no, without their bravery and unwavering support Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived, would have died. The blood-sucking writers everywhere failed to see that behind every hero is a reason for his success. As Professor Albus Percival Wilfred Brian Dumbledore always said, it was love.

A constant joke in many houses when they hear the trilling tale of Harry Potter, but its true. It was always love. It took them seven long and bloody years to find what was always right in front of them. Her, who loved facts, and him who loved adventure, were the least likely. They were always looking somewhere else, never noticing their friendship.

Although they both agree that Sybil Trelawney was a crazy old bat, she may have had a point. You must look beyond and all that. They never looked beyond, only straight ahead. Maybe it was destiny in an instance, their strange pairing. It was obvious that the two least likely would become the most likely. The world works in mysterious ways, not even wizards can fully comprehend it. Many books with three main characters; the two in the background, the supporters, end up together. It's silly to believe otherwise. It's quite funny, actually.

Dumbledore knew though. He always knew. Deep there in the woods, Ron might have came back for Harry, maybe a little. But really Dumbledore knew that he would come back for her. Tom Riddle knew as well. He knew that that would become his undoing. Riddle was close to succeeding. Ever so close. Jealousy was Riddle's asset, his tool to success. Would Lord Voldemort have become so powerful if not for the terror and fear he inspired into people?
