Patricia pov

It was the 4th time this week I had gotten sick. Every single morning I would get up and rush to the bathroom, puking my guts out. All the girls were worried about me, asking what was wrong.

"Trixie this is 4th time this week that you've gotten sick. I think it's time you go to the doctor," Said Joy.

"I don't like doctors, Joy. You go and make an appointment, then by the time the doctor calls you back, it's like an hour past your appointment time. It's a total scam!" I say. She knows how I feel about doctors!

"Okay then. What if I went with you? Or what if Eddie went with you?" she asked.

"Okay, Joy. You can take me to the doctor," I said.

After that we both got dressed in normal clothes and told Trudy we were going to the doctor. I called for a cab so we could get there.

By the time we got to the doctors, the place was packed! At about 10:00, we finally could go back. We got there at 9:00!

"Okay, Patricia what seems to be the problem today?" Asked the doctor.

"I keep getting sick. Just randomly throwing up in the mornings, then after I feel fine." I explain.

"Any other symptoms?" The doctor asked.

"I sometimes have been feeling dizzy. And I have been gaining a little weight," I say.

"Well, Patricia I think I know what's wrong with you." Says the doctor.

"Great. What do I have?" I asked curiously.

"Your pregnant," Says the doctor.

"I'm what?" I ask, completely shocked.

"Pregnant. To know for sure I have to take a blood sample." Says the doctor.

"Okay." I gulped.

After the doctor took my blood, she said the test results would be out in a few minutes.

10 minutes passed and the doctor came back.

"Congratulations, Patricia, your pregnant," Says the doctor, smiling, "Here are some prenatal vitamins you should take for the baby. I'll see you back here in a couple of weeks okay."

"Thank you, Doctor." I said.

I started walking out of the room back to Joy. How am I going to tell her?

"So Patricia what's wrong?" Asks Joy.

"I'm pregnant," I say.

"Your what?" She asks.

"Pregnant," I repeat.

"Oh god, Patricia. Is it Eddie's?" She asks.

"Yes," I say, "He's the only person I've ever been with."

"You have to tell him!" She says.

"I know. I just don't know how." I say.

"It will be alright, Patricia, I promise," She says.

"Thanks for being here, Joy," I say.

"Your welcome. Now let's get you home." She says.

The whole ride home is silent, neither one of us knows what to say. We get home and it's around lunch time, so we still have to wait for everyone to get home.

By the time everyone gets home from school, I am a nervous wreck. I'm 17! I can't be pregnant! But I am. I have to tell Eddie. I run down stairs to Eddie's room.

"Eddie I need to tell you something," I say.

"Okay. Tell me." He says.

"It's about what happened at the doctors today," I say.

"Your not dying are you?" He says.

"No. Eddie, I'm pregnant." I say.

"Pregnant," He repeats, "Is it mine?"

"Yes doofus! Who else have I been with besides you?" I ask.

"Okay I see your point. Patricia it's going to be okay. I'm going raise my baby and help you. I'm not going to be my father. I promise." He says.

"Okay," I say tearing up.

Then Eddie gets on his knees and puts head head up to my stomach.

"Hey baby. It's your daddy. I just want you to know that I already love you. And I love your mommy very much too." Eddie says.

It brought me to tears. "Eddie, I love you so much." I say.

"I love you too, Patricia."
